What is BWRT®
What BWRT®   ?

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. Like many other modern therapies, it allows a ‘core of privacy’ so that you do not have to divulge anything you would rather not talk about – in fact, the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead. BWRT® is a completely new and different therapy based on the latest discoveries about the way the brain works and how it affects our moods, behaviour and emotions. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at http://www.bwrt.org

What happens in a treatment session?
During one hour session of BWRT®. I will ask you questions about your background what has brought you to seek treatment. If your presenting problem could be caused by a medical or physiological condition, you will need to have a had a medical consultation before working with me.

The most important aspect of this therapy involves you wanting to change how you feel to how you would prefer to feel instead.

As a certified BWRT® therapist l act as a catalyst in creating new neural pathways to bypass your old responses. This requires you to visualise images and recall memories of your presenting issue and freeze the responses before it goes past your lizard brain- rather than letting the emotion or action form. This techniques is empowering yet realistic and replaces those older fears or insecurities of the subconscious mind. it takes the false, scared or limited personality away and trades it with who you really want to be.
